Dear Cummins Supplier,

Thanks for your support of Cummins. As a valued supply chain partner, Central Supply Chain Operations would like to inform you of the below routing instructions/guidance when scheduling a shipment. This guide provides instructions for both U.S. domestic and International lanes.

Domestic Shipments – Shipments that are greater than 150 pounds that will originate and deliver in the contiguous United States.

Enter all orders for LTL (Less than Truckload), TL (Truckload) and/or flatbed shipments into Transplace's online web portal (https://www.transplace.com).

Please note, Transplace will not have access to your product cost. Transplace will act as the single portal for order entry which will allow Cummins to optimize and manage the transportation network across all business units.

Please reach out to Transplace via e-mail: IB.Cummins@transplace.com with any questions, or in order to establish account credentials for entering your shipments online at https://transplace.com

International Shipments – defined by mode (Ocean or Air) that cross international borders during transit.

Ocean:

  • LCL (Less than container load): Less than 14,400 kg or 15 cbms
  • FCL (Full container load): More than 14,400 kg or 15 cbms

Air:
Supplier must obtain approval from Cummins planner prior to arranging expedited airfreight. This approval must be in writing and provided the appropriate Freight Forwarder at the time the shipment is booked.

Please note the following list of contacts that will support booking of international Air or Ocean shipments. Please contact the specific forwarder for the shipment lane identified below. They will answer any questions you have regarding the requirements of the shipping process.
