The health and safety of all Cummins' stakeholders including employees, partners, and visitors is our top priority as we work to maintain and restart operations during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As we all learn to work in this “next normal" environment, we recognize our partnership with our customers, suppliers, and others are critical to our success. Therefore, as Cummins is prioritizing the protection of our internal and external stakeholders during the pandemic, we expect our customers and suppliers to do the same.
As such, it is essential that everyone entering a Cummins site continues to follow all Cummins policies and procedures. As guidance is changing rapidly, this also includes any new measures our sites put into place.
As a part of our enhanced safety measures, all Cummins sites have implemented site-entry screening measures, which include a series of wellness screening questions and temperature checks for each person entering our facilities. To ensure our safety program is successful, it is essential everyone truthfully answers screening questions and pass our temperature checks before entering our sites.
In addition, Cummins also now requires the use of masks or face coverings at all Cummins sites, unless prohibited by law. In conjunction with continued social distancing and effective hand hygiene practices, this is one of many measures we are instituting at our sites to help reduce the spread of infection.
We expect you, as a trusted Cummins supplier, to make these requirements visible to any of your employees working at a Cummins site and ensure they're enforced. All employees, contractors, and suppliers should call the CRC at 1-866-685-4313 (U.S. only) or +1 4432214877 (outside the U.S.) if they have symptoms, have come into contact with a confirmed case, have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or begin experiencing symptoms while at a Cummins facility.
Please work with your teams to ensure they continue adhering to the policies and expectations for each site where they are working. For more information about Cummins' current guidance, continue referring to the Safe Work Playbook or reach out to your Cummins site contact.
